I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Masters in Counseling Psychology who has been doing therapy for 20 years. I am also a Clinical Supervisor training associate MFTs in the field. Before starting my private practice, I worked in a variety of settings in the mental health field- schools, clinics, and nonprofits to name a few. For 10 years I worked as a school-based therapist specializing in working with older youth who were struggling with anxiety, school-based perfectionism, family relational trauma and substance use. In my work I use a blend of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. And I use humor a lot, and drop the occasional 4-letter word when the moment is right (see study backing this). Most of all, I am here for you: neutral, outside of your family/social circle, understanding and consistent.
